What to Expect
When you contact Crown Exteriors, we will gather information about your project and scope. We will schedule an appointment for you with our president, Chad Poegel, to visit with you to discuss the details, take initial measurements (as needed), and answer preliminary questions.
On the day of the appointment, we will meet with you personally to discuss all of the details of your project. Please be sure to have all the decision makers present at this appointment. Within 2 weeks, you will have an Estimate e-mailed to you. If you agree to the Estimate and are ready to book your project, simply e-mail or call the office. For larger, more complex, projects we will draft a Contract. The Contract lays out the project specifications and cost breakdown. Two copies of the Contract are sent in the mail. The signed Contract and Deposit are then due to confirm the project. Once a project is confirmed (verbally or via Contract & Deposit received), it is officially added to our pipeline. As a team, we meet every Monday to discuss each and every one of our projects.
At the project start, our production coordinator begins the materials ordering process. If windows are a part of your project, we schedule an appointment with you for our production manager to take official measurements. Then, we work with you to confirm all the window specifications (as needed). Details of the project are finalized and materials are ordered. Materials are sometimes readily available or could take 4-10 weeks, depending on what is ordered and its availability from our suppliers. Waiting is one of the hardest parts of this process! But, once materials are available from our suppliers, we begin the process of scheduling your project. We do our best to communicate with you every step of the way.
Once all the aspects of the project are complete and done to your satisfaction, we will send a final Invoice to your e-mail. At that time, you can remit payment in the form of a check to our secure P.O. Box listed on the Invoice or, if you prefer, you can pay in person at our office. We prefer check or cash for payments; however, we do accept major credit cards, but there is a processing fee of 4% of the total Invoice.
