Siding Styles
There are three types of siding styles: Lap, Shake, and Board & Batten (Vertical). All are available in the different materials that we install such as fiber cement, engineered wood, and vinyl. Each style and material used creates is own unique look. The various styles can be used independently or together to create the unique look you desire.
Lap Siding
The most traditional and timeless style of siding. It is installed horizontally on your home. When the planks are placed on your home, they overlap one another, hence the term “lap.” This style comes in a variety of widths and styles, creating unique looks. Some styles even mimic the look of real wood, but with less maintenance!
Shingle Siding (Shake)
Shingle siding (also known as shake siding) provides a visual accent to any home. Often used in the gables to add variance, shake siding comes in staggered, straight, and even scallop. Use it in the same color as your siding or vary the color to add extra character. The possibilities are endless!
Board & Batten Siding
Board & Batten siding is characteristic of the modern farmhouse. Boards are placed vertically and the battens are installed at the seams to create the desired look. This siding option can be used on a whole exterior or as an accent in your design to make your home stand out!
